Scrapping Away is headed back to Whistler again in May and will once again be staying at Legends. Legends is a condo-style resort hotel located at Whistler Creekside. It has a year round outdoor pool, a large hot tub, a fitness room, theatre room and a Starbucks steps away.

Now that the road to Whistler is completed it takes far less time to get there and it is a stunning driving experience.

The scrapbook room has plenty of windows and, since the hotel doesn't have an on-site restaurant, it doesn't restrict you from bringing in your own snacks and drinks. For those of you who like to scrapbook with a glass of wine or a beer this is the retreat for you.

Each room is a suite that includes a living room with pull out couch and a full kitchen. It is the perfect solution for large groups as you can fit a lot of friends in a 2 or 3 bedroom suite. The separate bedrooms are ideal for those who like to stay up late and are rooming with someone who doesn't. Whistler is also a great option if you want to bring your family. They can enjoy the many activities available in Whistler while you're scrapbooking.

Dinner isn't included in this retreat which is why I've been able to keep it so reasonably priced. The hotel doesn't offer catering and I found the options for a large group to be very limited and expensive. I also discovered that quite a few restaurants in the village offer excellent prix fixe meals at great prices during May. You can investigate some of the local fare, order out for pizza or save money and make something in your fully equipped kitchen.

The retreat goes from 4:00 p.m on Friday until 3:00 on Sunday. The room will be closed from 2:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. each night. Your scrapping supplies can be left at your table for the entire weekend as someone will always be in attendance during crop time.

Crop space: The hotel has a mix of 6 and 8 foot tables. Each scrapper will have at least 4 feet of table space.

Note: Prices listed are the per person rate for the entire weekend. Prices are in Canadian Dollars and include all taxes.

Payment options:

• Cheque (preferred) - Make the cheque out to Scrapping Away and send it to Suite 246 - 255 Newport Drive, Port Moody, BC V3H 5H1
• PayPal - Pay using your credit card using PayPal. You will be sent a PayPal invoice after you register. Please note that if you use Amex to pay via PayPal the amount may differ on your statement as Amex denominates in US funds. Scrapping Away is not responsible for the difference.
• Payment Plan - Stetch out the cost by paying with 3 equal payments. The first cheque is due within 10 days of registration, the 2nd can be post dated to 30 days later, and the 3rd for 30 days after that. The final cheque must be dated at least 30 days prior to the event. Only cheques are accepted with this option.
• Note: Payment must be received within 10 days of registration.

Cancellation policy: If you need to cancel you can do so up to 4 weeks prior to the event. You will receive your full payment less a $20 administration fee. If you cancel within 4 weeks of the event you will be charge the full rate unless we are able to sell your spot to someone else. Reservations can be transferred.
